The PCBs would normally be despatched by forwarding service where time allows, but our courier service will be used for particularly urgent requirements, these will be collected and delivered by arrangement.

The lead times quoted are inclusive of all standard finishes, which include Hot Air Solder Leveled, Gold Plating, Solder Resist and Component Identity Silk Screen Printing, Testing and Packing as required.

Quotations will gladly be given immediately by telefax / email for all Printed Circuit Boards within our standard technical capability. For MULTILAYER and SMD PCB's, we would prefer to give a firm quotation after inspecting the Gerber Data. However, budgetary prices would be given if required.

Front End Pre-Production Electronic Tooling

In order to maintain its position as market leader, COMSOL has invested in the high performance pre-production planning system as well as volume production to deliver PCB as the fastest way. Customer data is accepted in digital Gerber form and therefore constitutes a precise definition of customer manufacturing requirements.
Drilling information is automatically extracted from the electronic data. This ensures that drill positions are 100% accurate, step and repeat, mirror imaging and or pattern rotation can be accurately carried out to ensure precise panelisation.
Electronic verification of the supplied data against design rules ensures that minimum width gaps are not violated.

Once the pre-production planning has been completed, the film work is plotted in house. This ensures that 1st generation photography is used to produce the required P.C.B.'s.
The master information remains as electronic data. Testing tool is extracted from Gerber file for single or double test.

Photoplotting

C.A.D. DATA FORMAT : Gerber, Excellon, Sieb & Meyer, All C.A.D. information is to be put into photo files and full aperture list for drills and photo files is to be provided via Modem or Internet Email.

Solder Masks

The wide variety of solder mask finishes can be applied over bare copper, black oxide or tin lead conductors

Automatic Optical Inspection

Recognizing the increasingly rapid growth in the complexity of P.C.B.'s especially fine line, and the associated demands of visual inspection COMSOL has installed the Automatic System.
Testing system operated by asking three basic questions.

Is there adequate width of track between each pair of pads which should be connected.
Is there adequate spacing between conductors which should be separated.
Does the inter connection pattern correspond with that obtained from the CAD data, the photo tooling of a master board

Using this simple formula precise detailed testing of supplied photography, production photo tooling and Multi Inner layers including power and ground planes can be undertaken with 100% confidence.
